About the job Assistant HR Manager

We are seeking an Assistant HR Manager to be based in Malaysia to spearhead the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee relations for our client in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and establish HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), optimize existing procedures, and supervise the execution
  • Ensure sound HR practices, policies & procedures, and processes are in place to support business operations and fulfill legal and statutory requirements
  • Lead the whole HR & Admin department by providing guidance and direction to subordinates, delegating tasks and supervise to ensure timely completion
  • Manage the recruitment activities to fulfill the company's organizational needs effectively and efficiently by generating strategies and monitor the deployment, including Manpower Planning and Manpower Cost Analysis
  • Supervise the execution of staff training plans, including proper training documentations, records, and evaluation that follow ISO requirements
  • Maintain the payroll function and oversee the payroll processing
  • Oversee all employee relations programs, including promotion and execution of disciplinary procedures to ensure that employee's voice is heard fairly and equitably to resolve any disputes arising
  • Liaise and work with the Head of Department to plan career path development for selected employees to retain talents
  • Drive the implementation of new HRIS (Human Resource Information System)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR, preferably in the logistics/manufacturing/distributions industry.
  • Knowledge of local HR regulations and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRMS, experience with Workday will be an advantage.
