Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources and a deep understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the field. They should have a flexible and adaptable approach, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
- Employee Relations: Provide support and guidance to employees and managers on employee relations issues, such as performance management, career development, and employee engagement.
- Benefits: Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, 401(k) plans, and paid time off.
- Compliance: Ensure that the company is in compliance with all federal and state laws, such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Training: Assist in the development and delivery of employee training programs.
- Assist with payroll, timekeeping, and other HR-related administrative tasks.
- Assist with employee data management and maintenance of employee records
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and programs.
- Maintaining and updating employee handbook
- Represent the company at job fairs and other recruitment events.
- Stay current on HR trends, laws and regulations, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
