As a Remote HVAC Technician at Sparks Wiz Limited, you will provide remote support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems. Leveraging technology to diagnose and resolve issues from a distance, you will work closely with the engineering team to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively, while also coordinating occasional on-site visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Remote Diagnostics and Support:

    • Utilize remote monitoring tools and software to diagnose issues with HVAC systems.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to on-site technicians and clients via phone, video conferencing, or remote desktop tools.
    • Analyze system data and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues remotely.
  2. Installation and Configuration:

    • Assist in the remote configuration and calibration of HVAC systems.
    • Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure proper installation and setup of HVAC equipment.
    • Review and verify installation documentation and specifications remotely.
  3. Maintenance and Optimization:

    • Develop and recommend remote maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
    • Monitor system performance through remote access and provide actionable insights for improvement.
    • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities remotely, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of remote support activities, including diagnostics, resolutions, and recommendations.
    • Prepare and deliver reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and potential upgrades.
    • Document all interactions and technical support provided to clients and on-site teams.
  5. Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work closely with on-site technicians, engineers, and project managers to coordinate support and ensure smooth operations.
    • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to project planning and problem-solving.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their HVAC system issues and provide remote solutions.
  6. Compliance and Best Practices:

    • Ensure that remote support activities adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
    • Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance remote support capabilities.
    • Provide guidance on system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong background in commercial or industrial HVAC systems. Experience with remote support or virtual troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in remote diagnostic tools and HVAC system software.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills for remote interaction with clients and team members.
    • Ability to work independently and manage remote support tasks effectively.
  • Certifications: Relevant HVAC certification (e.g., EPA certification) preferred.
  • Other: Reliable internet connection and proficiency with remote access tools and software.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily remote work with occasional on-site visits as required.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate different time zones and client needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type:

  • Full time

Pay:

  • $33.50 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours:

  • 40 hours per week
