Carpenter Leadman

SPACEMAKER KSA is looking for an experienced Carpenter Leadman to oversee and coordinate the activities of a skilled team of gypsum carpenters. If you have a strong background in drywall systems and are a proven leader, this is an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Purpose: As the Gypsum Carpenter Leadman, you will lead the installation, repair, and finishing of gypsum board (drywall) systems. Your role will involve coordinating daily activities, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the assembly and erection of drywall and LGS systems.
• Tag each assembly according to the provided drawings.
• Report daily production progress to the direct supervisor.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings and brief the team on the tasks of the day.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Ensure that tools and power tools are used safely, and report any malfunctions or breakdowns.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, training them on the latest installation techniques and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand drawings and material lists.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall and gypsum systems installation.
• Expertise in gypsum board installation, ceiling assembly, and finishing techniques.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team of gypsum carpenters and laborers.
• Excellent communication skills to explain tasks and safety procedures to the team.
• Strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
