Job Purpose:

The Painting Supervisor oversees and manages painting crews and projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety protocols, and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Check the work order received from Fit out Supervisor
  • Check resources and identify required resources
  • Daily start up meeting, briefing the job of the day.
  • Collect daily report into a combined report and handover to Supervisor
  • Collect & inspect incoming materials from store for defects, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and standards.
  • Organize storage areas to ensure materials are readily accessible and stored properly to prevent damage.
  • Make sure the required tools are available and enough for the team
  • Make sure the team is using the tools/power tools safely and report breakdowns.
  • Explain work order to the team
  • Daily inspection to insure quality and work as per drawings.
  • Manage and supervise a team of painters, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and overseeing their daily work performance.
  • Enforce safety Protocols and ensure that all the team members adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Provide on-the-job training and development to junior painters and new team members, ensuring they understand and implement proper techniques and safety protocols.

Educational Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • High experience in various types of paints and high end finishing
  • Excellent English communication skills

Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in painting

Skills:

  • Proficiency in preparing various surfaces and applying different finishes.
  • Familiarity with color matching and custom finishes
  • Proficient knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the painting process.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise and motivate a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management.
  • Train and mentor new staff and apprentices on techniques and safety practices
  • High end finishing experience
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to implement and enforce safety protocols.
