Structural QC Inspector

We are looking for a highly skilled Structural QC Inspector to join our team and ensure top-quality production standards on our projects. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in monitoring and analyzing fabrication and production processes to ensure they meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.

🔍 Job Purpose:
The Structural QC Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and ensuring compliance with all project requirements for structural activities throughout the production phases. You will collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and client representatives to resolve any quality-related issues.

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection & Quality Control:
  Conduct inspections and quality control checks during various stages of production.
  Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  Organize structural and welding tests in line with specifications.
  Inspect welds, materials, and equipment, ensuring suitability for welding and compliance with project requirements.
  Monitor factory/site activities, ensuring they align with approved methods and specifications.
  Stop operations if works do not meet set standards.
  Issue Non-Conformance Reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality activities.
  Generate WIR, MIR, and related documentation, ensuring proper archiving and submission to clients.
  Track and monitor corrective actions for non-conformities.
  Collaborate with the QA/QC Manager to submit detailed quality reports to clients.
• Training & Support:
  Provide guidance to welding operators and production personnel to adhere to quality standards.
  Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops on quality-related topics.

🎯 Qualifications:

• Mandatory:
  Diploma in Structural Engineering or Welding Engineering.
  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality control as a welding or structural inspector.
• Desirable:
  Certified Welding Inspector.
  Experience in the Pre-fabrication / Modular industry.

🌟 Skills & Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of welding testing procedures, steel fabrication materials, and quality control standards.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g. AWS, AISC, ASTM, etc.).
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
