๐ Job Purpose:
The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the quality management systems for all phases of projects, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards, and managing a team of engineers across multiple disciplines. Your leadership will ensure that every project meets the highest quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
๐ Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the overall QA/QC strategy across various disciplines.
Supervise and guide QA/QC teams in multiple sectors including structural, welding, fabrication, and construction.
Establish and monitor quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Collaborate with senior management, clients, and contractors to address any quality-related challenges.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enforce corrective actions to prevent defects. - Quality Oversight & Compliance:
Ensure that all phases of production, from design to delivery, meet established quality standards, codes, and specifications.
Oversee inspections, audits, and tests across all disciplines, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Manage and track non-conformances, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and monitor the effectiveness of those actions.
Develop and review quality control documentation such as quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITP), method statements, and non-conformance reports (NCR). - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, test results, and quality activities.
Prepare and present quality reports to management, clients, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure that all project quality documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived.
Implement reporting systems to track the status of quality control and non-conformance issues. - Team Management & Training:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA/QC professionals across various disciplines.
Provide guidance and training to staff on quality control practices, codes, and standards.
Conduct workshops and training sessions to keep the team updated on new industry standards, regulations, and technologies.
๐ฏ Qualifications:
- Mandatory:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
At least 15 years of experience in QA/QC management, with a proven track record in structural, welding, and fabrication industries.
High-level certifications in QA/QC (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Welding Inspector, ISO 9001, Six Sigma). - Desirable:
Experience in managing QA/QC in Pre-fabrication, Modular, or large-scale construction projects.
Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., AWS, AISC, ASTM, ISO).

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Advanced communication skills, with the ability to report and present findings to top management and clients.
- Proficiency in MS Suite and quality management systems.
