About the job Fit Out Supervisor
Job Purpose:
The Fit-Out Supervisor oversees and manages the fit-out process for commercial, residential, and high end projects. This role ensures that all interior work is completed on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Check the drawings package received
- Check resources and identify required resources
- Daily start up meeting, briefing the job of the day.
- Collect daily report into a combined report and handover to Engineer
- Collect & inspect incoming materials from store for defects, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Organize storage areas to ensure materials are readily accessible and stored properly to prevent damage.
- Make sure the required tools are available and enough for the team
- Make sure the team is using the tools/power tools safely and report breakdowns.
- Explain work order & drawings to the team
- Daily inspection to insure quality and work as per drawings.
- Ensure proper alignments, verticality and squareness of pod erection
- Manage and supervise a team of gypsum carpenters, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and overseeing their daily work performance.
- Enforce safety Protocols and ensure that all the team members adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide on-the-job training and development to junior staff and new team members, ensuring they understand and implement proper techniques and safety protocols.
Educational Requirements:
Mandatory:
- High experience in interior execution of high end finishing projects.
- Excellent English communication skills
Experience:
Mandatory:
- Minimum 7 years experience in fit out projects execution.
Skills:
- Skills in inspecting work for compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Highly experienced in tiling, painting and waterproofing.
- Knowledge of fit out materials and tools
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the installation process.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise and motivate a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management.
- Train and mentor new staff and apprentices on techniques and safety practices
- High end finishing experience
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to implement and enforce safety protocols.
