BIM Architectural Modeler

Job Purpose:

• The BIM Architectural Modeler will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate 3D models for Architectural systems within a BIM environment.
• The role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to design, model, and integrate Architectural components.
• The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Architectural modeling software and a strong understanding of Architectural systems.

Responsibilities:

• BIM Architectural Modeling:
• Create, modify, and update 3D Architectural models (using Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software) for building projects, ensuring an accurate representation of Architectural drawings ( Finishes, general plans, architectural detailing)
• Ensure all Architectural elements are properly integrated into the pod model in coordination with other disciplines (structural, electrical, mechanical).
• Creating all Architectural Revit families as per approved material submittal.

• Coordination & Clash Detection: I
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that Architectural systems are correctly coordinated within the BIM model.
• Perform clash detection and resolve any conflicts between Architectural systems and other
• Pod systems.

• Drawing & Documentation:
• Prepare detailed drawings and diagrams from the 3D models, including layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Generate and maintain BIM documentation, such as schedules, reports, and material lists, based on the Architectural model.

• Collaboration & Support:
• Collaborate with Architectural engineers, architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure the Architectural model meets project requirements.
• Ensure that all design changes are reflected in the model, drawings, and documentation.

• Software & Tools Management:
• Utilize BIM tools and software (such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks) to produce accurate and efficient Architectural models.

Educational Requirements:

Mandatory:

• Architectural drafting Diploma.

Experience:

Mandatory:

• +7 years of experience in BIM modeling, with a focus on Architectural systems, in the construction or design industry.

• Desirable:

• Familiarity with Architectural principles

Skills:

• Proficient in using BIM software, especially Revit and AutoCAD, for Architectural modeling.
• Creating all Architectural Revit families as per approved material submittal.
• Knowledge of Architectural systems and their integration into BIM.
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural design drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and documentation.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential projects, preferably steel projects
• Experience with additional BIM tools such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or Dynamo is a plus.
