Warehouse Operative

My client is the UK's favourite parcel delivery expert. They are looking to hire a number of staff for their warehouse at their depot in Burgess Hill. No experience is necessary (although it is welcome!), but the main requirements are commitment, flexibility, willingness to learn, and a good level of physical fitness since manual handling of heavy parcels is a part of the job.

Duties include ensuring the conveyer-belt keeps running, unloading lorries, and moving parcels around the depot to ensure they get to the right driver quickly.

Working hours are either 1.00am to 9.30am, or 12.00pm to 8.30pm. In all cases it's a 40 hour week. There is an unsocial hours payment for work between midnight and 6.00am, and excellent rates for overtime.
