Position Summary

• The Apprentice Electrician Top Helper - Industrial is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in a safe and efficient manner.

Non Negotiables

• Candidate must be eligible to work on a DISA site.
• Completion of a thorough DISA background investigation.
• A DISA hair-follicle based drug screening (six-month detection).
• A valid TWIC.
• TDLR Apprentice license required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe work site and work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Participates in wire pulling, conduit installation, and other electrical tasks, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Works independently with little to no guidance, demonstrating self-management and problem-solving skills.
• Effectively manages the workflow and productivity of oneself.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Business School.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and processes with governing entities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and job specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10/30 certified.
• NFPA Hot Work trained.
• First aid certified.
