The Opportunity

As an HTML Email Marketing Specialist at Dijitally, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and high-performance email campaigns that align with the marketing strategies of our clients. You will be responsible for coding responsive and visually appealing emails, implementing best practices for deliverability, and working closely with designers, copywriters, and marketing strategists to bring creative concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Development & Coding: Build responsive and dynamic HTML emails using best practices for performance, accessibility, and cross-client compatibility.
  • Template Creation: Design, code, and maintain reusable email templates, ensuring consistency in look, feel, and function across campaigns.
  • Email Testing & Optimisation: Test emails across different platforms, devices, and email clients (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, mobile devices) to ensure proper rendering. Use A/B testing to optimise email performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough QA checks to ensure email accuracy, functionality, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team (designers and copywriters) to translate visual concepts into functional email templates. Collaborate with marketing strategists to align emails with campaign goals.
  • Email Marketing Platforms: Build and deploy emails using platforms such as Iterable and Salesforce.
  • Data & Personalization: Use dynamic content and personalization techniques to create highly targeted and relevant email communications.
  • Tools & Technology: Familiarity with platforms like Litmus, Email on Acid, Iterable, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ensure cross-platform testing and rendering.

About You

You have a good eye for detail, strong HTML/CSS skills, and a solid understanding of email marketing tools and platforms. You are analytical, results-driven, and can work with minimal guidance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive design techniques for email development.
  • Experience working with platforms like Iterable, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other ESPs.
  • Familiarity with email testing and rendering tools like Litmus, and Email on Acid.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and user experience to help translate design into code.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and optimise campaigns accordingly.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and quality control in email coding and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Email Developer, preferably in an advertising or digital marketing agency.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, AMP for Email, or other advanced email technologies.
  • Experience with automation and CRM systems integration (e.g., Iterable, Salesforce).
