THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION
The Franchise Development Manager works within the franchising team to manage the franchise approval process for both existing and new franchisees to facilitate transfers of open/existing Papa Johns restaurants throughout Germany.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Discuss with existing and prospective franchisees, both in person and via telephone, to facilitate transfers of open/existing Papa Johns restaurants throughout Germany.
- Obtain and analyse the prospective franchisees' business plan, financial statements proof of funds, and background checks to determine if the prospective franchisee candidate meets our qualifications.
- Coordinate and work with the Operations team to schedule operations interviews for new groups to the system in a timely fashion by providing all background information necessary to the Franchise Business Partner.
- Maintain transfer pipeline to track progress in the hosting process and execution of transfer agreements.
- Complete, coordinate and submit for final approval, all necessary paperwork for a candidate to become a franchisee.
- Coordinate and assist in the execution of transfers of units (i.e. purchase of open units by approved buyers.) and/or ownership changes (i.e. the addition of new investors to the current franchise).
- Coordinate, manage and execute the guest visit process, including preparation of the agenda, hosting guests while at the corporate office, managing guest expectations and providing post-visit feedback to the development team and presenters to ensure constant improvement.
- Understand and comply with applicable rules and regulations for awarding new franchises.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with stress, able to solve problems, and remain focused on immediate goals.
- Good oral and written communication skills (German and English).
- Flexible and able to work with a wide variety of people.
- Some travel (up to 10%) is required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of five years of practical business experience.
- Large multi-unit restaurant or retail industry experience preferred.
