They are looking for a commercially sharp Director of Sales, Retail to lead strategic retail partnerships and drive revenue growth across major accounts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior sales leader who thrives in high-value relationship management and strategic commercial planning.
Why This Role?
This role is focused on a concentrated portfolio of large, strategic retail customers.
Rather than managing a large number of accounts, you'll focus on deep, high-value partnerships where strategic influence matters.
You'll be responsible for:
Growing major enterprise retail accounts
Building executive-level customer relationships
Leading joint business planning
Expanding market share and category presence
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead retail sales strategy across North America
- Own relationships with major retail partners
- Develop and execute joint business plans
- Drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth
- Lead business reviews and strategic planning meetings
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and commercial agreements
- Identify whitespace and category expansion opportunities
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Deliver forecasting and performance reporting
What We're Looking For
You may be a strong fit if you have:
8+ years in retail / channel sales leadership
Experience managing national or enterprise retail accounts
Strong commercial negotiation skills
Experience with annual planning and quarterly business reviews
Strong financial and analytical capability
Executive stakeholder management experience
Industry background could include:
- Marine
- Consumer electronics
- Sporting goods
- Outdoor recreation
- Durable consumer products
- Big-box retail
Marine experience is helpful but not essential.
We welcome candidates from adjacent industries with strong retail sales leadership.
