Must Haves:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Health-related fields, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in product management and IT business analysis
- 7+ years' experience in project management and/or vendor management
- Experience with health care integration projects
- Knowledge of user centric design and innovation
- Public Sector experience (Highly preferred)
The IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist - Senior contributes to the development, execution and maturing of the Agency's provincial digital integration and maintains a strong collaborative working relationship with the leadership team across Digital Excellence in Health (DxH) as well across provincial digital leaders. The IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist - Senior will play a key role in ensuring that the Agency and partner solutions support the needs of the health system. The IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist - Senior looks at enterprise-wide solutions and contributes to leading change initiatives for the organization.
The IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist - Senior develops, advocates, and champions Ontario Health's digital solutions by providing solution design expertise and guidance internally, to local and province-wide health care organizations, and delivery partners to facilitate information sharing across the health sector in support of provincial mandates, organizational and health system goals. The IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist - Senior ensures alignment between strategies and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for on time, on budget, and on scope completion of assigned projects that are compliant with applicable external legislation and internal policies and processes including project governance framework and project management methodology and provide feedback from continuous improvement as requested.
- Responsible for managing scope, budget, schedule and quality of deliverables of assigned projects.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationship and effective communication with sponsor(s), internal and external partners, vendors and project team members.
- Organize and lead project team meetings.
- Ensure effective project change control, including managing IT requests for change, and deployments to various environments is in place.
- Proactively identity and manage risks and systematically resolve or escalate known issues.
- Adhere to and promote Ontario Health policies and processes, including privacy, security, and records management.
Desired Skills:
- Health care digital architecture models
- IT infrastructure and ITIL experience
- DevOps expertise
- Knowledge/expertise of current technology trends
- Familiarity with legislation applicable to health care organizations such as PHIPA
- Technical knowledge/expertise gained through work experience as a developer, or an architect
- Deep knowledge of design and deployment of technical infrastructure projects
- Deep knowledge of application development and deployment for both products and projects (SDLC)
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of digital product development and support
- Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycles
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex IT projects under challenging circumstances
- 11+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale technology initiatives and complex IT solutions in a highly integrated setting
- Experience in managing projects in the health care sector
Deliverables:
- Develop project documentation including charter, integrated project plan, project schedule, status reports, meeting notes and other project artifacts as required
- Issue project change requests as applicable in response to changes in scope, schedule, budget and release strategy (for multi-release projects)
- Provide financial forecasts and track actual costs against approved budget
- Align and adhere to the Ontario Health gating and governance process and framework
