Location: 3 Days ONSITE at 525 University Avenue 

Duration: 7+ Months (166 Business Days) + Possible Extension of 253 days

Must Haves:

  • Background in health data and public-sector/government experience is required
  • Technology Stack: SQL, Python, Azure, Power BI
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics products supporting the Provincial Data Set (PDS) 2.0 and MHA clinical reporting priorities.

Background Information:

The Agency Mental Health & Addiction program requires technical analytics support to deliver the latest Provincial Data Set version 2.0 and other clinical area analytics.

The position is required to support the advancement of our data, reporting, and critical ministry-related commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements, design, code reports.
  • Develop script for using health system/administrative databases, including linking datasets and building analytic cohorts.
  • Design, create, and maintain cloud-based data analytics models, and visualizations (dashboards and reports).
  • Liaise with project members to implement products, conduct reviews, resolve operational problems, and support clinical partners in effective use of cloud-based data and analytics products.
  • Analyze complex technical issues, identify alternatives and recommend solutions.
  • Develop technical scripts in alignment with Mental Heath & Addiction Clinical priorities
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics products supporting the Provincial Data Set (PDS) 2.0 and MHA clinical reporting priorities.

Required Skills:

  • Written and oral communication skills to participate in meetings, write and/or edit systems documentation, prepare and present written reports on findings and/or alternate solutions, develop guidelines and best practices
  • Experience with large health system and administrative databases, including linking datasets and building analytic cohorts.
  • Background in health data and public-sector/government experience is required.
  • Interpersonal skills to explain and discuss advantages and disadvantages of various approaches
  • Experience in conducting knowledge transfer sessions and building documentation for technical staff related to architecting, designing, and implementing end to end data and analytics products
