ONSITE 5 days a week - Jarvis St. Toronto

Deliverables:

  • Provide advanced, specialized technical co-ordination of the development, testing and implementation of JCL, updates to job schedules CA-7), reporting and other tools, support for online and batch processing, SFTP/FTP and print file creation.
  • Provide a leadership role for ensuring that ITIL processes are followed, specifically incident, change and release, to support multi-processing, multi-image computer services for a client base of OPS ministries, agencies, boards and commissions.
  • Provide advanced, specialized technical support to clients on all scheduling, testing and implementation activities 7/24 mission critical systems.
  • In depth, advanced knowledge of and extensive experience with Batch and online systems and computer system technologies and operating systems, for large mainframe environments, ministry standard/commonly used and customized application software/hardware, databases and application recovery procedures to meet client requirements and conform to corporate systems standards.
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients on production control procedures/processes and leadership and co-ordination to support automation of client production applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of mainframe utilities (e.g. TSO/ISPF, JCL, FTP) and desktop software (e.g. PKI, MS Word, MS Excel, Internet applications), and database software (e.g. DB2, IMS, CICS), hardware/software and knowledge of the relationships between multi-tiered systems to schedule and monitor production batch processing systems.

Must Have:

  • 10+ years experience providing oversight to support mainframe batch processing.
  • Demonstrated experience in a large enterprise complex environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of technologies and utilities such as automated scheduling tools (e.g. CA-7 ), client scheduling processes and their linkages to batch and online applications (e.g., IMS, DB2) and printing tools (e.g. View and Deliver) to ensure timely execution of scheduled batch processing and output delivery.
