Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFOs attention.
  • Prepare financial reports through the collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
  • Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Maintain compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial health.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
  • Start participating in strategic planning sessions.

In the following 90 days expectations:

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly financial reports and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reduction and profit improvement.
  • Present a comprehensive financial review and future projections to the executive team.
