Qualifications:

Responsibilities: 

  • Receiving and handling wastewater/septic effluent: Set up and unload wastewater, sludge, or effluent from septic trucks.
  • Inspection and monitoring: Check for obstructions, adjust valves to regulate flow, and monitor gauges and flow meters.
  • Labor: Involves manual labor, shoveling, raking, and handling waste materials.
  • Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Essential job tasks may require carrying, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, manual manipulation, and the ability to work in varied weather conditions
  • Sample collection and reporting: Collect septic samples for analysis, process pH samples, record data, inspect samples for prohibited material, and prepare reports for operators.
  • Compliance and safety: Follow health and safety protocols, ensure proper disposal, and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting operations: Assist with headworks operation and cleaning, including raking bar screens checking pump operations and other station assignments.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Attendance: Daily and punctual attendance at the job site is required.
  • Customer Service: Interact professionally with septic haulers, contractors, and vendors; follow oral and written instructions; and maintain positive working relationships
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
