Position: Project Engineering Manager Water & Wastewater
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to oversee the planning and execution of engineering work on a wide range of water and wastewater projects. These projects may include advanced treatment facilities, conveyance systems, and sustainable, carbon-neutral solutions. The role offers the chance to lead high-impact initiatives, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor engineering teams.
What Youll Do

Lead and coordinate multi-discipline engineering teams on major municipal projects

Supervise, coach, and develop engineers and technical staff

Manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation to ensure successful delivery

Serve as a key technical resource, providing leadership on design and execution of complex projects

Partner with project managers to maintain strong client communication and address project challenges

Support pursuit efforts and business development activities by contributing technical expertise and insights
Key Responsibilities

Develop and review complex engineering deliverables

Conduct technical research and recommend equipment and materials

Oversee data analysis and detailed engineering calculations

Lead project teams in meeting quality, budget, and schedule commitments

Identify client priorities and ensure they are reflected in project execution

Guide teams in solving technical and operational challenges

Participate in recruitment, performance management, and professional development of staff
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited program
-
At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience

Ability to meet pre-employment requirements (background check, drug screening, etc.)
Preferred
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license
-
Previous consulting engineering experience

Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment plant upgrades or expansions

Strong leadership skills with a background in managing multi-discipline teams
Work Environment
