About the job Construction Manager
Client is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and expand our construction team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing transportation construction projects for state and local agencies in Illinois, including IDOT and the Illinois Tollway, as well as familiarity with the City of Chicago, counties, and surrounding municipalities.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects including scope, schedule, budget, quality, communications, and resources while mentoring junior staff, supporting business development, and engaging in industry organizations.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required)

15+ years of relevant construction management experience

Licensed Professional Engineer (required)

Proven experience working with state and local transportation agencies

Thorough knowledge of transportation construction standards and processes (IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, FHWA)

Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:

Lead project planning, client coordination, and business development initiatives

Optimize resource allocation for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
