Qualifications:

Reliable, teachable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems independently. Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical motors, pumps, and mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to make inspections to determine operating conditions and confirm what is needed for repairs to pumping equipment.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, pencil sketches, or written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to use a variety of mechanics' tools and shop equipment in the installation, repair, and maintenance of pump station equipment.
  • Knowledge of 240/480 AC/DC control systems.
  • Ability to read for comprehension and Ability to interpret and utilize the SCADA system.

Responsibilities:

Install, overhaul, repair, service and maintain equipment such as (but not limited to) pumps, motors, gas & diesel engines, meters, gauges, compressors, blowers, valves, backchecks. Revamps pump stations, maintains 240/480 electrical system control panels. Maintains well motors & A/C-D/C control systems. Works with power tools. Maintains service records. Perform & participate with safe practices of confined space entries. Submits requisitions for equipment and materials, reviews work orders for priority, clarity & completeness. Completes work orders (CMMS) to appropriate personnel. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Performs other related duties as required.
