Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License, High school diploma or GED and 1 year of skilled utilities field experience; or An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Assignment to work a variety of work schedules, including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations

Responsibilities:

  • The role involves supporting the maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, and mechanical equipment
  • Candidates will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians while contributing to the efficient operation of our facility
  • Performing all routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance assignments that are assigned to the project's preventive and corrective maintenance and repair program
  • Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures
  • Performing all work to produce an end result that meets all goals and objectives set by project management

  • Operate equipment for the rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system
  • Responds to and resolves customer complaints
  • Performs record-keeping/data entry
  • Record daily reading of equipment and processes
  • Cleans and maintains facilities, buildings, and grounds
  • Repairs yards following maintenance procedures
  • Monitors inventory of parts, supplies, and chemicals/degreaser
  • Communicates with co-workers on processes and job activities
  • Assists in the inspection processes of sewer lines and manholes
  • Assist in the maintenance and operations of the CCTV inspection system
  • Occasionally assists in the location of utility lines
  • Assist in Asset Management and Maintenance Programs Repairs and maintain sewer lines, manholes and lift stations
  • Responds to emergency situations
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the seasonal demands of the collection system
  • Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position
  • The candidate may be required to perform manual labor for extended periods occasionally in adverse weather conditions
