RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze geotechnical investigation reports, pull testing reports, tracker reactions, and Owner Agreement scopes of work to provide recommendations for tracker pile size, embedment, projection height, and corrosion mitigation.
  • Develop and implement pile pull testing standards, conduct constructability reviews for tracker pile designs, and manage site-specific wind and corrosion studies.
  • Cultivate relationships with pile suppliers, negotiate scope of work for pile supply Purchase Agreements, and draft Professional Service Agreements for geotechnical investigations, pile testing, wind studies, and corrosion studies.
  • Coordinate and oversee pile pull tests for projects, lead pile corrosion design mitigation efforts, and contribute to company's in-house development of 30% Construction Documents.
  • Manage design partners to ensure timely deliverables and achievements in design.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience in geotechnical engineering and/or structural engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in solar construction is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Detail orientation is sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level.
  • Shown positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate company policies to employees and outside parties.
  • Proficiency with LPILE.
  • Fluency with CAD preferred.
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
