Senior Project Manager Utilities
The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage major projects within the Utilities division, overseeing all phases from initiation through delivery. This role includes developing and executing project plans, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving continuous improvement. Youll also support business development and marketing initiatives while mentoring project staff and fostering collaboration.
Who You Are

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.

At least 12 years of experience in substation or power delivery engineering, including field work, with a minimum of 2 years as a project engineer.

PMP certification required.

Deep understanding of utility design processes and project delivery for power systems.

Skilled communicator capable of translating complex technical topics for clients and teams.

Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with proven success managing budgets, schedules, and risk.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project, with working knowledge of CAD processes.

Positive, collaborative leader who values mentorship, delegation, and relationship-building.
What Youll Do

Lead multidisciplinary teams through all stages of project delivery.

Develop and manage project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and communication strategies.

Serve as the primary client contact and problem solver, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction.

Track financial performance, initiate invoicing, and manage receivables.

Oversee quality assurance, ensuring adherence to client standards, codes, and procedures.

Identify and mitigate project risks while seeking opportunities for improvement.

Contribute to proposals, marketing, and negotiation of additional services.

Mentor staff and support professional development across project teams.
