The Opportunity
As the Extra High Voltage Overhead Transmission Engineering Manager, youll lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians on complex, large-scale projects. This role combines technical leadership with project management, business development, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Project Execution

Prepare complex engineering deliverables across multiple or large-scale projects

Conduct research and recommend materials and equipment

Manage budgets, schedules, and quality standards

Oversee interdisciplinary coordination and serve as engineer of record

Establish and manage project work plans
Client Interface

Identify and understand key client drivers
-
Communicate project updates and develop responsive solutions
-
Support business development efforts and proposal preparation
-
Manage project changes in coordination with project managers
Technical Expertise
-
Provide technical leadership for complex transmission projects
-
Lead large, multi-discipline teams to meet deliverables
-
Drive innovation and ensure compliance with design standards
Management Responsibilities

Review engineering work performed by others
-
Handle hiring, performance management, and compensation for team members
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience managing EPC or design services for high-voltage overhead transmission line projects with investor-owned utilities in the U.S.

Minimum 11 years experience in transmission line design, with proficiency in PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading, and foundation design

Strong communication and client relationship skills

Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, standards, and interdisciplinary coordination (procurement, permitting, land acquisition, and construction)

Experience with proposal processes and cost estimation

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution

At least 11 years of related experience

Ability to complete pre-employment screenings (background check, drug test, driving record, etc.)
