OBJECTIVES:
- To greet Guests and handle reservations in accordance with our cycle of service, in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
- To be fully familiar with every beverage and dish served in the Bar and Restaurant and to provide explanations as requested.
- To treat our guests like Superstars!
DUTIES:
- To greet Guests and identify their specific reservation.
- To register Guests, ensuring that the necessary details are obtained, i.e. name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, allowances, VIP, charge details, etc.
- To collect guests details for database purposes.
- To allocate guests according to reservations list, ensuring that this is what the guest has booked or requested is provided in line with the Cycle of Service.
- To seat guests in line with the Cycle of Service.
- To implement a guest waiting list upon reaching full capacity.
- To liaise with, or alert management of any special allergy or dietary requirements.
- To be familiar with all aspects of Group Reservations including, but not limited to, set menus, allergy requirements, birthday parties, special functions, etc.
- To operate the phone system and the voicemail system as per guidelines.
- To be fully trained and have an in-depth understanding of our reservation system.
- To ensure cleanliness of all menus daily.
- To ensure that the par levels set for menus and other printed tools are always checked and that the venue does not run out of printed materials.
- To ensure cleanliness and correct set up of the reception area.
- To update the reservation list daily and liaise with management and kitchen team.
- To ensure that all departments, particularly the floor, are notified of V.I.P or particular requests.
- To complete and prepare seating allocation and briefing sheet daily.
- To update daily the Lost & Found tracking sheet.
- To be fully familiar with the composition of all menu items and their allergy risks.
- Always be aware of, and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.
- To be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of personal hygiene.
- To attend meetings and training courses as required.
- To take part in any fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarization with all exits, including those normally used by customers, as well as fire escapes.
- To report any suspect package left unattended to the manager on duty.
- Carry out any other reasonable request asked by the management.
