OBJECTIVES:

  • To greet Guests and handle reservations in accordance with our cycle of service, in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • To be fully familiar with every beverage and dish served in the Bar and Restaurant and to provide explanations as requested.
  • To treat our guests like Superstars!


DUTIES:

  • To greet Guests and identify their specific reservation.
  • To register Guests, ensuring that the necessary details are obtained, i.e. name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, allowances, VIP, charge details, etc.
  • To collect guests details for database purposes.
  • To allocate guests according to reservations list, ensuring that this is what the guest has booked or requested is provided in line with the Cycle of Service.
  • To seat guests in line with the Cycle of Service.
  • To implement a guest waiting list upon reaching full capacity.
  • To liaise with, or alert management of any special allergy or dietary requirements.
  • To be familiar with all aspects of Group Reservations including, but not limited to, set menus, allergy requirements, birthday parties, special functions, etc.
  • To operate the phone system and the voicemail system as per guidelines.
  • To be fully trained and have an in-depth understanding of our reservation system.
  • To ensure cleanliness of all menus daily.
  • To ensure that the par levels set for menus and other printed tools are always checked and that the venue does not run out of printed materials.
  • To ensure cleanliness and correct set up of the reception area.
  • To update the reservation list daily and liaise with management and kitchen team.
  • To ensure that all departments, particularly the floor, are notified of V.I.P or particular requests.
  • To complete and prepare seating allocation and briefing sheet daily.
  • To update daily the Lost & Found tracking sheet.
  • To be fully familiar with the composition of all menu items and their allergy risks.
  • Always be aware of, and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.

  • To be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of personal hygiene.
  • To attend meetings and training courses as required.
  • To take part in any fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarization with all exits, including those normally used by customers, as well as fire escapes.
  • To report any suspect package left unattended to the manager on duty.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request asked by the management.
