We are currently hiring for Azure Solution Architects for our IT infrastructure management consulting client.  

Location: Canada , EST - remote

Rate: $90-110/hr CAD C2C

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 4 months initially + potential extensions

Number of roles: 3


These 3 resources will be part of a large team that works with end core client groups from the entertainment and pharmaceutical space.  

Azure Architect Should have a strong background in architecting/designing and building Azure landing zone, hands on experience on building landing zones with a strong understanding of Vmware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Design: Develop and implement scalable Azure architectures with a focus on modernizing VMware workloads and ensuring robust, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments.
  • Landing Zone Design & Build: Design and deploy Azure landing zones following best practices to support secure, multi-account environments, ensuring compliance, security, and optimal account management.
  • VMware Modernization: Lead initiatives to modernize on-premises VMware environments by leveraging Azure VMware Solution (AVS) or Azure Native VMs.
  • Cloud Migration: Oversee end-to-end cloud migration projects, including workload assessments, dependency mapping, migration strategy, and execution. Leverage Azure Migrate and other tools to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that all designs and implementations comply with Azure best practices, security policies, and relevant industry standards.
  • Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Use IaC tools, such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, and Terraform, to automate deployment and management processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and scalability following Azure best practices and governance frameworks.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
