Overview

The Department is looking to engage a qualified and experienced Solution Architect to work in the Digital Transformation and Delivery Division. The Solution Architect role will work within a large complex portfolio of work supporting major new capabilities and initiatives to deliver new and enhanced digital transformation for the Aged Care sector as part of the Aged Care Royal Commission.

The Department will also be creating a merit pool for a period of 6 months for candidates that were of sufficient quality.

Provision of Specified Personnel on a time and materials basis in the following role: Solution Architect SFIA 6, to undertake tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver Architecture (designs), patterns, options and other associated artefacts for Aged Care systems;
  • Assess the impact of operational system changes with implementing a design;
  • Define non-functional requirements, including security, capacity, performance, cross capacity and cross-release concerns;
  • Understand business requirements to develop complex engineering solutions across multiple infrastructure technologies (on-premises and Cloud);
  • Assess immediate requirements to deliver initial scoping and costing artefacts for further discussions;
  • Effectively collaborate to address the concerns of all stakeholders, including the immediate team, enterprise architecture, and business, and deliver fit-for purpose, robust, solution;
  • Create solution vision, work with stakeholders to gather needs, and requirements;
  • Develop solution intent which captures and documents fixed and variable solution level behaviours;
  • Present and build support for proposed solutions with our business and senior IT stakeholders;
  • Work with other architects to develop top-down services functional view to deliver integrated solution;
  • Work with the project teams to develop solution design to realise solution architecture into delivery solution;
  • Work with our dev/ops and core infrastructure services teams to deliver;
  • Develop solution architecture, solution design and other artefacts and present in appropriate architecture forums;
  • Lead discussions with Business and Technology stakeholders to develop and communicate the Solution Vision and Roadmap;
  • Interact with suppliers to ensure that requirements on their delivered capabilities are understood; and
  • Other duties as required and advised by Director Solution Management.

The specified personnel may be redirected to assist or work on other projects/activities outside of the branch of initial assignment.
