Overview
The NBAs core business is to deliver blood supply that is responsive to patients needs plus governance and policy about blood and blood products. The Information Technology Services section is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of projects, business as usual support, infrastructure, security and operational call centre solutions which support the agency's vision of Saving and improving Australian lives through a world glass blood supply.
The Program goal is to digitally transform the NBAs ICT capabilities with high performing technology to modernise our sector.
The Program will be responsible for replacing several bespoke systems, plus delivering corporate modernisation and cloud transition for applications, data and infrastructure.
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who has the following demonstrated experience and capabilities:
- Assist with the planning and delivery of infrastructure modernisation project activities in line with NBAs ICT strategy;
- Support a variety of Windows Servers, SQL Servers, backup tools, support tools and virtual infrastructure;
- Deploy Applications and Operating systems using a mixture of both on-premises, cloud and MDM solutions (Server 22/Persistent VDI/InTune);
- Configure security products such as Windows Defender, Microsoft AppLocker and Windows Defender Application Control;
- Automate Support Tasks using PowerShell, System Centre Configuration Manager and other automation tools;
- Provide technical support to resolve incidents and service requests effectively, promptly and respectfully;
- Assist with the integration of cloud services (Azure/365/AWS) into the NBA environment;
- Operate in an environment compliant with the ACSC Information Security Manual;
- Provide support and assist the CIO, the ICT Infrastructure team and Architecture with infrastructure technology decision making;
- Work with limited oversight as part of a small multidisciplinary team;
- Develop documentation such as standard operating procedures and technical design documents, assist in documentation and advise on procurement matters;
- Provide a client focus in delivery of work priorities and assist other resources to complete projects and tasks effectively;
- Update all work completed into NBA ITSM systems and identify opportunities to improve ICT processes and procedures
- Be available for rostered on-call duties

Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrated knowledge and capability in:
o Supporting a variety of Windows Servers, SQL Servers, backup tools, support tools and virtual infrastructure;
o Deploying applications and Operating systems using a mixture of both on-premises, cloud and MDM solutions (Server 22/Persistent VDI/InTune);
o Configuring security products such as Windows Defender, Microsoft AppLocker and Windows Defender Application Control;
o Automating Support Tasks using PowerShell, System Centre Configuration Manager and other automation tools;
2. Demonstrated experience managing the integration of cloud services (Azure/365/AWS)
3. Demonstrated knowledge and capability to operate in an environment compliant with the ACSC Information Security Manual
4. Demonstrated experience working in a team, driving continuous improvement by engaging with minimal supervision with stakeholders, analysing and advising business on infrastructure technology problems
