The LAND 200-3 ILS Practitioner will:
Develop, research, analyse and prepare integrated logistic support artefacts in support of project acquisition activities.
Develop and update ILS documentation, including a range of logistical management strategies, plans, and instructions.
Develop data item descriptions (DIDS) for the tender process and the statement of work for ILS contractual requirements; supporting tender evaluation and source selection.
Provide logistic advice/input to management and coordination of project working groups.
Deliver ILS project outcomes that comply with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
Provide services associated with the auditing, identification, reporting and recording of problematic items of supply within Defence and/or Industry supply chains which may include:
Provide investigative and analytical services to identify the risk associated with hazardous items in accordance with known and emerging WHS legislation and regulations;
Provide guidance on problematic items of supply to develop remediation plans; making recommendations for logistic system improvements; developing business rules; and developing work processes/instructions.
Support complex procurement activities including:
Review of solicitation documentation and supporting information (i.e. statements of work, statements of requirement, data item descriptions),
Support evaluation of industry responses to approaches to market related to area of expertise.
Work collaboratively to develop and maintain beneficial, effective relationships and negotiate effectively to influence stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver agreed project outcomes.
Assess, interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
Be accountable for accurate completion of work within defined timeframes and quality requirements within a matrixed, integrated workforce.
The position reports to the ILS Manager, and provides subject matter support to the Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 Project Managers; and the Project Director.
