Overview

The NBAs core business is to deliver blood supply that is responsive to patients needs plus governance and policy about blood and blood products. The Information Technology Services section is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of projects, business as usual support, infrastructure, security and operational call centre solutions which support the agency's vision of Saving and improving Australian lives through a world glass blood supply.

The NBA is preparing to initiate new Programs of work which will be responsible for delivering the new ICT Strategy. The NBA is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be able to join our team and help us deliver this exciting digital transformation Program.

The Program goal is to digitally transform the NBAs ICT capabilities with high performing technology to modernise our sector.

The Program will be responsible for replacing several bespoke systems which are used by medical practitioners to manage patient treatments, orders, supply and governance of blood and blood products and by patients who use the systems to manage their treatments in their day to day lives using mobile technology. Plus delivering corporate modernisation and cloud transition for applications, data and infrastructure.

We are looking for a Project Manager who has the following demonstrated experience and capabilities:

  • Tertiary degree and/or equivalent experience of 7 years or more in project management, project delivery and PRINCE2/AGILE or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering procurement-based ICT projects into government environments.
  • Leading project teams through planning to implementation while delivering results against planned benefits and outcomes.
  • Experience managing government vendors to deliver high value ICT transformation projects
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and bridge between technical and non-technical resources and managing their expectations.
  • Providing strategic support and analysis into business and technology problems to drive continuous improvement.
