Position Description

Senior Business Analyst

• Run workshops, work sessions, and interviews with business and technology teams to elicit, analyze and document business process models, business requirements and user stories as required in support of Mine Project knowledge transfer, product feature definition and new COTS solution discovery.
• Maintain all business models, requirements, users stories etc. in agreed modelling tool, aligned to application and data models.
• Be a communication bridge between business and Software Development Team.
• Support SIT and UAT activities to verify all requested requirements are included in the product, and the product does not implement the features not required.
• Work with Business Architect to establish Product Governance.
• Work as directed with Business Architect and Rio Tinto business to gather business objectives, requirements and user stories for new COTS solutions.
• Directly report to and work with Business Architect.

What you will bring to the role:

• Minimum of 10+ years' experience in Complex Mining Projects
• You will have a broad and balanced mix of skills and knowledge across industry, business, IT strategy and digital strategy, and technology domains
• Industry knowledge across Mining and Technology
• Sound communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
• Excellent influencing skills and ability to link business with IT
• Ability to apply architectural principles and solution elements to business needs
• Ability to quickly gain a broad view of the business and varied degrees of appreciation for strategies, processes, technologies, and governance
• Good organizational, strategic planning and research skills
