Position Description:
The Agile PgMO Project Manager (DCPM) position performs day-to-day project management duties within the Agile Program Management Office. The primary role of this position is to direct and manage the reporting, governance and professionalization obligations of the program, supporting secretariat responsibilities and coordinating input from across the WSO.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining program and project planning tools including Jira, MS Project & Project Central in order to monitor progress against WSO Objectives. This includes reporting obligations internally and externally to the WSO for input into artefacts such as the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Working with the Risk Manager to assist in risk identification, analysis, control and monitoring.
- Undertaking organizational maturity assessments across different relevant frameworks against Capability Maturity Milestone targets.
Required Skills and Experience:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- General understanding of ICT system integration.
Ability to work with Military staff and Commercial providers to identify and manage competing priorities.
Well developed time management skills to organize their time to report against goals and ensure successful completion of tasking.
Experience with delivery of projects in the Defence context.
Formal qualifications/equivalent experience in Project and Program Management methodologies including MSP, Prince2, Agile, PMBOK.
Desirable
- Understanding of JC2 systems, strategic networks, tactical networks, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) organisations within the ADF (fixed and deployed domains) in the Joint Force operational environments.
- Working experience in Defence C2.
Familiarity with organizational maturity assessments.
- Experience with the One Defence Capability System and governance requirements.
- Experience in multi-discipline teams.
