Overview

The NDIA Desktop Services Directorate is a key function of the ICT Services Branch delivering both Desktop Services and ICT Asset Management to the Agency.

The NDIA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader for its Asset and Configuration management team, responsible for leading a team of asset officers managing all aspects of the asset and configuration management life cycle for the Agency. It will work closely with the Agency to develop, configure, maintain, support and optimize the Asset and Configuration management function.

The position will lead a Hub supporting the Agency, with a team to be built around the Team Lead in the region. Over time this position may have up to as many as 5 direct reports.

The Team Leader will lead a team, and will coordinate ICT Asset Management processes, including ordering, warehousing, and distribution of ICT equipment and peripherals for NDIA Staff and Partners.

Duties

These may include but are not limited to:

  • Leading a Hub of the Agencys Asset Management team, delivering essential ICT hardware and software services to the Agency.
  • Work collaboratively with third party vendors, investigating new service offerings, asset recovery and repair approaches.
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of an operating model that reflects new ways of working.
  • Manage Asset Stocktake and Audits
  • Designing, building, deploying and supporting the Agencys hardware fleet, while also implementing technical change management activities.
  • Investigating complex technical problems assigned to the team and engaging others to assist in addressing problems.
  • Create documentation of ICT asset management processes that are consistent with industry best practice and consistent with formal ICT Management Frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Draft task cards, divisional communications, briefing papers and other corporate documents as they relate to ICT asset management.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a positive and professional manner; and
  • Work proactively and collaboratively to resolve problems and achieve business outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver ICT services through ICT management frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Demonstrated experience with ICT Asset Management, Configuration Management and warehousing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in each of the following areas: freight forwarding, logistics, inventory administration, purchasing or supply chain administration.
  • Demonstrated a strong commitment to meeting agreed work targets and standards. Highly organised, methodical and have a high attention to detail whilst ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Experience undertaking ICT asset functions in complex geographically diverse organisations. Experience working as part of cross-agency teams spanning geographic locations;
  • Understand and implement appropriate ICT asset management practices.
