Services Australia is seeking to identify suitable Candidates to perform the role of Business
Analysts, Systems Analysts and Solution Design Managers up to manager levels to support
the agency to document business requirements, capture business needs, and design, create,
evaluate, and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems.
Solution Design Managers are responsible for the successful planning and implementation
of ICT solutions to support the overall business goals and objectives of the functional area.
They are responsible for engaging and liaising with the business areas and customers to
articulate process improvements and problem resolutions. Solution Design Managers
exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision making substantially
dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider agency implications.
They drive innovation, change in workplace practices, and organise work in the context of
competing priorities and strategic direction.
The level of Security Clearance required for a Role will be confirmed at the time of Contract.
Job Title Solution Design Manager
APS Equivalent Level EL1
Main Duties Duties may include, but not limited to, some or all of the following:
lead and support operations of the team, including monitoring
business performance, setting priorities, and managing resources and
workflow
oversee the development and implementation of the ICT solution
highlight and identify gaps in existing functionality and functional
interdependencies
undertake and contribute to business management, strategic
planning, and workforce planning
manage team contribution to the costing process and ensure project
deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget
report on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance
indicators and quality assurance to manage overall performance
monitor and manage work output and quality against established
performance standards through interpretation of quality analysis and
reporting
encourage innovation, continuous improvement and manage and
support change
build action plans and make operational decisions on policies, tactics
and resources critical to the business
prepare and review a range of written material including technical and
corporate documentation
collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes, build service delivery capability, and
influence business outcomes
