Development of Program Management for the LC4 Program is underway as part of the implementation of the Capability Program Architecture in Defence.

The Capability Program Architecture includes Programs with in-service capabilities, current and future projects and their associated sustainment funding. They also include the broad range of all Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) elements needed to deliver a capability, as well as the activities in which they participate in and conduct. Managing capabilities in this context will enable comprehensive strategies to be developed to optimise future preparedness outcomes and control risk.

About the Role:

Land Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems Branch (LC4S Branch) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Project Support Officer (PSO) to operate as an embedded part of the Program Management Office (PgMO).

The PgMO is responsible for developing and implementing processes, tools and guidance using recognised program management principles, as well as co-ordinating a range of business functions in support of acquisition and sustainment activities that are delivered by the branch.

Task Description:

The PSO will work closely with the PgMO functional leads to support the following functions:

Administration and secretariat duties

Preparing correspondence for a range of internal and external stakeholders

Support to corporate reporting activities

Assist in assurance reviews including but not limited to project Independent Assurance Reviews and audit requests

Experience Skills Sought:

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills:

Ability to exercise personal responsibility and autonomy to identify and solve complex problems and to manage issues to support delivery of PgMO services

Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to analyse, develop and implement work plans to support delivery of outcomes, and

Ability to manage a range of dynamic tasks with competing deadlines

Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications:

Previous CASG experience in supporting either acquisition projects or capability sustainment
