Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
Essential:
- Demonstrated knowledge in IT Administration
- Certified SAFeĀ® Practitioner (mandatory for all COSPO personnel - can be completed upon engagement)
Desirable:
- CompTIA Sec+
- VMWare vCentre Progress through the VMWare vSphere learning pathway
- Courses through the Microsoft training pathways
Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrate experience in IT Administration
- Creating hardware agnostic SOE images using approved hardening guides
- Experience with Physical and Virtual devices
- Experience with Powershell
- Prior experience working on ADF systems and networks
Desirable:
- Agile / DevOps / Scrum experience
- Demonstrated experience in and understanding of information technology and/or cyber security
- Prior experience in implementation of ISM controls and working within an ITIL framework
Responsibilities
Statement of Work
- Performs work in the DCR an JCOMS Production environments
- Ensures IT systems maintenance is carried out in accordance with COSPO Maintenance Management System (MMS)
- Uses tools to back up running system configurations and information holdings. Schedules sequences daily and saves archives in a centralised DCR location alongside other Disaster Recovery information
- Monitors remote site and peer interface connectivity in real-time using system tools, reporting on failed links
- Responsible for maintenance and patching for the following system equipment types:
- HP Workstations
- HP and Dell Laptops
- Dell Servers
- Other COSPO delivered products as required
- Provide support to the other Administrators for the maintenance and patching for the following system equipment types:
- Dell and Extreme Networks switching devices.
- Cisco Integrated Services Routers and verifies IOS firmware configurations in 43xx and 44xx models
- Fortinet firewalls and verifies configurations in FortiOS firmware for FG-500E series models
- Other COSPO delivered products as required
- Develop, maintain and document functional SOE images using approved hardening guides
- Supports System Administrators with common Simulated Key Terrain (SKT) development and deployment tasks
- Is responsible for classified information handling in accordance with the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), XC-40 Classified Document Register (CDR) entry requirements and site musters
- Is responsible for his or her own workplace conduct, including dress, attendance, time keeping, productivity, behaviour and administration
- Protects Commonwealth Intellectual Property (IP), complies with US International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for export-controlled software and reports compliance concerns
