The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:

  • Developing and supporting delivery of Pega application components that address business requirements, under the oversight of the Principal and Lead Pega System Developers ;
  • Documenting and reviewing design approaches with the team and undertaking regular and timely unit testing on built applications as needed;
  • Supporting the section with internal and external Pega Quality reviews;
  • Remediating defects and issues, and implementing design recommendations for application components;
  • Mentoring and upskilling staff in using the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform, with emphasis upon ensuring that sound user experience design principles are always at the forefront of EBS solutions;
  • Supporting operations of teams as a Senior Pega System Developer, including providing a clear sense of direction, setting work priorities and managing junior resources;
  • Contributing to the formulation and implementation of Pega Best Practice standards, components and governance structures
  • Working with stakeholders to understand and validate business requirements and specifications in the context of the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform;
  • Conducting and attending walkthroughs, handovers and forums to assist in EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform priorities and deliverables;
  • Participating in technical design workshops, delivery forums and conducts walkthrough reviews of specifications.
  • Undertaking relevant technical deliverables as specified in the EBS Pega Quality Enablement delivery processes during development of all Pega application components;
  • Embracing and contributing to EBS delivery methodologies and tools in support of the agencys strategic direction;
  • Evaluating, and reporting on technical feasibility and risks for development projects including the development of option papers;
  • Designing and creating application reports;
  • Delivering capability on the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform aligned to user story priorities and deliverables in both a project and business-as-usual support contexts;
  • Contributing to strategies to ensure high quality development outcomes to underpin efficient long-term maintenance of Pega applications;

Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Departments recordkeeping policy and practices.

The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:

  • Detailed Design Approach(es)
  • Data Model design and Data Dictionary for the assigned user stories and applications
  • Unit Test Rules, documentation and evidence of the unit test coverage and execution results
  • Presentation materials to demonstrate design patterns and/or support delivery at user forums
  • Design and creation of application reports;

Every application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission.

Essential Criteria

1. Holds a Pega Senior System Architect certification, or higher and 2+ years experience working as a Pega Senior Developer/System Architect on Pega Platform and/or Cloud Pega Platforms.

2. Demonstrated experience in owning and delivering Pega enterprise capability and solutions that are actively used in a Production context

3. Possess a deep knowledge of Pega capabilities and Pega Technology components and knowledge of integrating Pega with other Technologies.

4. Ability to: - Drive development best practices and guardrails and monitor adherence. - Understand the current/future requirements & design class structure, ruleset design & case types to drive enterprise reusability. - Tune Pega application for optimal performance & drive design for performance.

5. Strong coaching/mentoring experience in technical contexts, including the ability to coach a team of Pega developers to drive efficiency and quality delivery.

6. Previous experience and/or knowledge of Commonwealth Government governance structures.

Desirable Criteria

1. Ability to produce efficient and highly optimised SQL queries within Pega including the ability to support a design data model of the solution. Proven experience in designing and creating application reports, and Load and Performance testing of Pega applications. Proficient in developing UI's inside and outside of Pega.

2. Ability to lead a team of developers to drive efficiency & quality delivery, including the ability to conduct build review self-assessments and peer assessments.

3. Ability to design applications and application components for larger systems. As well as, support transition in service artefacts and activities.

4. Stakeholder management skills and experience with the ability to understand business requirements and convert to working Pega applications.
