the Project Support Officer will engage with a number of stakeholders across the organisation and contribute to a variety of business, governance and reporting requirements for the Project Management Office (PMO) including but not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining program management dashboards, reporting processes and artefacts;
- Managing Program reporting requirements by providing advice and direction to Program staff on the use of program reporting tools;
- Defining, establishing and maintaining access controls and quality processes for the Program;
- Maintaining program and project risk registers, including scheduling regular reviews and updates; and facilitating risk workshops.
- Providing support to program and project areas to assist with Commonwealth procurement activities;
- Maintaining configuration control of all program artefacts entered into the Defence Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS);
- Investigating issues of medium complexity and producing related briefs for SES officer consumption; and
- Assisting with general administrative tasks to support the planning and conduct of program boards.

Essential Criteria
a. Developing and maintaining program or project management dashboards and artefacts;
b. Assisting with general administrative tasks to support the planning and conduct of program or project boards or similar;
c. Maintaining program or project risk registers, including scheduling reviews and facilitating risk meetings;
d. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools and
e. Demonstrated experience in using an Electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) tool (i.e. TRIM, Objective)
Desirable Criteria
a. Experience in supporting Programs & Projects with the financial management including resource and budget planning, review of monthly Program Financial expenditure and monthly accrual & variance reporting;
b. Knowledge of Program and Project Management methodologies, including PRINCE2/Agile and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and experience in the use of a project scheduling tool;
c. Understanding of Commonwealth procurement legislative requirements; and
d. Produced briefs for senior management.
