Overview
IP Australia require an experienced, pro-active and versatile Senior Delivery Manager with a strong background successfully managing IT projects.
Under the direction of the Senior Director, the Senior Delivery Manager will:
- Provide direction and leadership to PMI Delivery Managers to ensure project delivery is in line with the approved PMI Business Case and Delivery Roadmap. This role periodically steps in and backfills for Delivery Managers who have oversight of developers, business analysts, testers, data engineers, business SMEs, solution architects, and other project resources.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation as required in accordance with IP Australias project management framework.
- Provide oversight to Delivery Managers who are responsible for the delivery of all project areas (including scope, schedule, resources, risks and issues, quality, and benefits) to ensure successful delivery of products within project constraints.
- Prepare and present project artefacts, including status reports as required.
- Work collaboratively with the PMI Leadership team and the Product Owner to ensure delivery.
- Assist Delivery Managers to proactively identify and manage technical risks and issues.
- Assist Delivery Managers to proactively manage dependencies, including risk assessment and contingency plans.
- Foster and maintain collaborative, respectful, and high-performance team culture.
- Maintain an awareness of Work Health and Safety (WH&S) responsibilities and a commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.
In addition to these accountabilities and responsibilities the Senior Delivery Manager will:
- Contribute to agile/delivery/project management practices in IP Australia.
- Support the ongoing development of teams and individuals through mentoring and upskilling of junior team members.

Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience (>10 years) delivering large and complex ICT transformation projects. 30 %
2. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills to support and maintain a high performing culture where multidisciplinary teams work together to deliver quality outcomes. 30 %
3. Demonstrated contemporary technical expertise in data migration and supporting whole of agency application upgrades and decommissioning initiatives. 20 %
4. Relevant ICT qualifications and/or industry certifications 20 %
Desirable Criteria
1. Knowledge and experience applying agile delivery principles and practices.
