About the Project / Program:
Land Command, Control, Communications and Computing Systems (LC4S) Branch is responsible for the acquisition and sustainment of information technology used by Australia's Defence Force both here in Australia and in the many theatres of operation in which Australia is involved.
As part of these responsibilities, LC4 is establishing a Systems Integration Lab (SIL) in support of the sustainment of various command based systems and requires subject matter expert support in establishing and maintaining the systems and infrastructure within the SIL.
This role is within the CASG environment working with Sustainment CA33 Systems Program Office (SPO), within LC4S Sustainment SPO.
About the Role:
The Commonwealth requires the services of a Systems Integration Engineer to supplement the workforce within the LC4 SIL. This proposal seeks to engage an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Practitioner to assist the LNIC with the administration of the physical and virtual networked environments that comprise SIL networks. This includes both mounted and non-mounted systems.
It is primarily a technical hands-on role with responsibility for the establishment and maintenance of the systems hosted within the SIL via networked compute and storage infrastructure containing multiple virtualised and physical workloads.
The candidate will be expected to assist in the management of the physical infrastructure of the SIL, allocation of its resources including provision of common IT resources and the ongoing security compliance of the infrastructure. The candidate will also be required to work with the LC4 SIL workforce, and deal directly with, and support, external Army Units and industry partners during the conduct of specific support tasks and further development of the environment.
It is expected that the majority of services delivered under this contract will be at the LC4 SIL facility in Watsonia, VIC. Interstate travel may be required to support LNIC tasks.
