System Management patching

 Job Description:

Australian Citizens With NV1 Clearance residing in Australia only respond 

The System Management, Monitoring, Control, and Patching Technician will be

required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:

Engage with subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, validate

the system management, patching, monitoring/alerting of systems across the

deployed networks.

Assist deployed stakeholders/SME to collect and evaluate datasets for

consistency, completeness and accuracy for system management, patching

and monitoring/alerting.

Generate reports on periodic basis (Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly) for

management, relating the status and observations.

Supporting the Warfighter Applications Product Line through the provision of

Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice on System Management/Control,

Monitoring and Patching matters. Including Privileged Access Management

(PAM), Security incidents, performance metrics, system availability, etc.

Support and assist SMEs in other areas in ensuring system

management/control, patching, monitoring/alerting of systems.

Review and recommend improvements to existing Management/Control,

monitoring/alerting, and patching processes.

Maintain data repositories quality, integrity and security of databases and

alert processes.

Create and manage Management/control, patching, and monitoring and

alerting artefacts for system or business owners who require them.

Tertiary qualification and/or demonstrable industry experience in an ICT

discipline or equivalent relating to managing/maintaining, patching,

monitoring, and alerting.

Demonstrated experience managing configuration data and configuration

management documentation

Experience as an administrator of a Patching, Monitoring database.

Ability to work under broad direction, with a considerable degree of

autonomy.

Demonstrated technical understanding, ability to quickly learn new business

domains and technical applications.

Experience in delivery of software applications in test and deployment

environments.

Knowledge of patching products such as Tanium or similar.

Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting products such Icinga, Kafka,

Grifana, Prometheus and Elasticsearch.

Understanding Windows, Linux, appliances, and application (including

network) patching.

Knowledge of vulnerability scanning systems such as Tenable and/or

Tanium.

Good understanding of GitOps activities
