Job Description:

Locations: Defence Plaza Melbourne or LC4SIL, Simpson Barracks
Remote Working: Up to 2 days a week
Experience Skills Sought:
Services are to be provided by personnel experienced in configuration management as practitioners and trainers and have a number of years of experience in the practical application of the theory of configuration management processes.
Services are to be provided commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
Service providers are to employ industry best practice when undertaking the Services. All work and deliverables are to be provided in accordance with Contract.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the below criteria:
Ability to perform an extensive range and variety of complex technical work activities with limited guidance demonstrating initiative, creativity and responsibility;
Demonstrated experience with systems and safety, security and managing technical risk;
Experience working in complex and challenging environments;
Experience working in a complex stakeholder system;
Builds appropriate and effective business relationships;
Communicates effectively both formally and informally including advanced technical writing skills;
Takes initiative to keep skills up to date, maintaining awareness of developments and continuous improvement opportunities;
Ability to analyse, design, plan, execute, and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets while assessing and evaluating risk; and
Establishes milestones and has significant influence over the allocation and management of resources appropriate to given assignments.
Essential Experience and / or Qualifications:
A qualified practitioner with a recognised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 qualification in a relevant engineering or technical domain, or relevant skills and work experience such that an individual can reasonably achieve a recognised AQF qualification if required by the position.
Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications:
Defence and/or CASG project engineering experience (Systems Engineering Management Plan, Technical Certification Plans, and Requirements Management etc.);
Knowledge/experience of Defence Configuration Management (CCMF) and associated systems/applications such as Configuration Management Tool Land (CMT-L) and Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS);
Defence sustainment experience;
Understanding of Defences CLC and FIC; and
Already have or ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
