Inventrory Asset Manager

 Job Description:

Australian Citizens With NV1 Clearance residing in Australia only respond 

The Material Inventory Officer will be required to perform and/or have responsibility

for duties including, but not limited to:

Manage and operate the WSO Warehouse;

Manage and conduct stocktake activities of hardware;

Conduct the disposal of hardware IAW Defence Policy;

Manage physical resources and hardware movements including implement

supply chain procedures for the movement of hardware IAW Defence Policy;

MILIS activities including external purchase orders, warehousing, supply

customer account transactions;

Review of hardware technical data for input to logistic management systems;

Participate in the hardware and goods/services procurements as dictated for

acquisition and continual improvement activities; and

Identify, assess, and communicate logistic risks.

Experience working within the Defence environment.

Previous experience managing or working within a Defence warehouse.

Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) with qualifications in:

Supply Customer Manager

o

Purchasing

o

Codification and Cataloguing

o

Inventory Management

Manual handling of equipment/boxes/pelican cases including packing and

shifting of equipment within the building and to pick up locations.

Attainment of Simple procurement in Defence.

Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the operational level.

Understanding of the Capability Life Cycle in both Acquisition and

Sustainment.

Developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Materials Handling Equipment license or ability to attain one within 6 months

of commencing role.
