As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills:
Ability to provide specialist advice to requirements definition and then planning, monitoring and controlling of programs/products across the life cycle of a capability;
Ability to solve complex problems and manage issues to support delivery of capability, including understanding of the technical, operational and logistical requirements;
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate highly effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
Experience working in a complex stakeholder system;
Ability to build appropriate and effective business relationships;
Evaluate and ensure that the capability sustainment meets requirements in line with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks; and
Ability to analyse, develop and implement work plans to support delivery of outcomes, understand critical success factors and recommend changes.
Essential qualification and experience requirement:
Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry and/or domain work experience, and
Current and relevant project management experience.
The following requirements are desirable:
Recognised project management professional qualification (eg Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM));
Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements;
Understanding of the content of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and its application the Defence project management environment and Project Management Methodology (PMMv2); and
An engineering qualification and work experience as an engineer in a complex environment.
