Required Skills and Experience:
Essential Confidence to present to a large audience.
Essential Leadership skills, keep members of team accountable, task resources, liaise with clients and customers.
Essential Professional Degree qualified Engineer.
10+ years of Requirements Engineering experience, ideally in a Defence ICT-centric project.
Experience working with installation of systems into Military Platforms.
Experience supporting and conducting Test and Evaluation in a Defence environment.
Ability to take requirements, standards and frameworks and apply in a practical application to future proposed designs and systems.
Ability to evaluate system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions and implement them with the assistance of vendors, developers and SMEs.
Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.
Skilled and effective communicator, both spoken and written with the ability
to convey complex ideas to non IT audience.
Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and
engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
Proven experience working with CASG SPOs and within CASG Engineering Management Systems.
Essential - Proven experience in Engineering Management / Technical Project Management position.
Essential Ability to balance Technical Assurance Framework requirements whilst maintaining Project schedule.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Provide input into the end-to-end architecture development, therefore a knowledge of the Department of Defence Architecture Framework (DODAF) and Defence C4ISR capability is highly desirable.
Experience integrating systems into Maritime Platforms.
Proven experience in leading the planning and implementation of the engineering function for complex ICT systems and solutions systems.
Experience and understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Member of the Institute of Engineers or Systems Engineering Society of Australia (SESA) will be highly regarded but not essential.
