The CIO Division provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and are seeking experienced and motivated Delivery Managers to assist with major ICT Projects in the Division.

The Deliver Manager role will be responsible for:

  • Engagement with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and delivering outcomes.
  • Research, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project or program initiatives.
  • Managing and leading a diverse team in the delivery of high-quality service and outcomes, including providing clear and consistent communication, and building capability in your team.
  • Identify issues/problems and work to resolve them.
  • Reviewing and implementing best practice solutions to improve operational effectiveness and inform business decisions.
  • Oversee the activities of project resources to ensure a high performing, well-motivated and developed team which delivers results.
  • Providing advice to senior executives in your area of expertise.
  • Managing priorities and developing high level written materials

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional agile project teams delivering critical and complex programs of work.

2. Highly developed communication and negotiation skills to ensure the appropriate level of communication, coordination and collaboration of stakeholders.

3. Proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, which may include business partners, cross-agency collaborations and service providers.

4. Familiarity with / and application of project management frameworks/ methodologies such as Agile and Hybrid Agile.

5. Proven ability to represent the team and branch in project governance meetings and provide clear up to date reports on status and the implications of risks on projects to ensure the success of projects.
