 Job Description:

The Commercial Support Officer will be required under broad direction to support the JP9347Ph1 CE4 Project Manager through the provision of contract administration and procurement support. Duties will include:
- Undertaking Simple and Complex procurement activities as required
- The administration, drafting and development of documentation (e.g. Contract Management Plans, Change Proposals, Procurement Plans, Commercial Strategies for Sustainment)
- Providing Commercial advice and guidance to delegates and stakeholders
- Representing the Government (CoA) act with Commonwealth interests and values
Requirements of the Role:
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Extensive experience in the development and management of the end to end Complex procurement process in a Commonwealth environment.
- Sound knowledge of, and extensive experience in, contract management administration, practices and processes.
- Bigger picture view with long term affects in mind
- Ability to identify contract management risks, and develop and implement mitigation strategies in regards to the Risk Management of contracts.
- Experience in the management of key stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth Financial Acts, Regulations and systems.
- Ability to provide Commercial advice and guidance, specifically in relation to procurement and contract management.
Essential Requirements:
Formal qualifications in contract management, commercial law or related field Minimum Diploma level
Highly desirable:
Previous experience in the CASG Defence preferably in a SPO environment
Whole of Government contracting experience
Understanding of Government gate approval process
Experience in ASDEFCON suite of contracting templates
