LC4S Branch is seeking an experienced Contract Management professional to support the ongoing management of the contractual framework which supports Defence Industry support to capability development efforts to enhance land force tactical communications.
Working with the existing LAND 4140 team, the Contractor will be proactive in managing day-to-day operations of contracts and seeking opportunities for improvement and efficiencies within the contracts and LC4S Branch management practices. The Contractor will be adept at working with multi-disciplinary teams and varied stakeholders to ensure the Commonwealth meets all contractual obligations and achieves the required capability outcomes.
Scope of task:
Key areas of work will include:
Develop contract management framework, strategy and/or plan;
Develop contract performance metrics and requirements;
Conduct or contribute to performance and compliance reviews of suppliers under contract, including reviews of:
o Supplier self-assessments of service delivery;
o Achieving Australian Industry Capability (AIC) requirements;
o Adherence to appropriate WHS requirements; and/or
o Adherence to appropriate environmental and ecological sustainability requirements.
Develop, supply, or operate a contract management system, or processes/tools, to record, monitor and track:
o Communications between the parties;
o Performance of the contract and financial status (e.g. payments made, balance against securities, etc.);
o Material provided by one party to the other;
o Variations and change proposals;
o Intellectual property;
o Claims by one party on the other (e.g. warranties, liquidated damages, defects, liabilities, etc.); and
o Other important or necessary information in relation to the operation of the contract.
Experience Skills Sought:
Services are to be provided by personnel with:
Relevant qualifications and associated domain knowledge;
Contract management experience preferably with both Government and private organisations; and
A sound understanding of the content of the Defence Procurement Manual (DPM), and related guidance, and ASDEFCON based contracts.
Services are to be provided commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
Service providers are to employ industry best practice when undertaking the Services.

Essential Experience and / or Qualifications:
Experience in vendor management or contract management and coordination functions.
